There's still time left for a little seasonal
gift knitting. Knit our new beaded scarf pattern
for your best friend, your child's teacher, your
mother-in-law. Your knitting friends will love
to receive a ball of Kid Silk Haze, some beads
and the pattern to knit a scarf for themselves.
Beaded Beauty
This beaded lace scarf was originally designed
as a workshop project. I was teaching it recently
at a local yarn shop and a customer saw it and
wanted to buy the pattern. Within two days the
pattern was published and available for sale at
the shop. Now I'm offering it to you.
Embedded with beads, this lacey scarf is an elegant
addition to any wardrobe. Wrap it around your
neck a couple of times and tie it at your throat
for an opulent ascot or wrap it once around your
neck and fling it over both shoulders. The weight
of the beads holds the feather-light kid mohair
in place when you wear it.

The
natural bias of the simple lace pattern creates
a graceful diagonal point at both ends which looks
difficult, but is simple to achieve.
Two scarves can be made from most balls of kid
mohair such as Rowan's Kid Silk Haze or elann.com's
Silken Kydd and Super Kydd.
